A new resource has been made available for people struggling with debt problems around the UK, it has emerged.

The not-for-profit organisation, the Debt Advice Trust, has established an interactive forum that will aim to keep visitors informed about the latest developments in the field of debt management and offer relevant tips.

In order to access more direct expert help, anyone facing debt problems can now call the trust and speak to one of its advisors about their concerns and possible solutions.

The Debt Advice Trust has explained that its founding has come in response to what it perceives to be an increasingly serious problem within communities around the country.

Among the areas of particular focus for the organisation will be trying to help British consumers avoid serious debt problems in January by budgeting effectively during Christmas.

The latest figures from Credit Action suggest that the overall personal debt burden in the UK grows by close to £1 million every five minutes.

Those with excessive debt may want to consider taking out a homeowner loan.
